FIND OUT WHICH FACTORS AFFECT YOUR SWIMMING POOL REMOVAL COST.

Number one

Accessibility

Machinery needs space for maneuvering. If your entrance is less than six feet wide, costs increase because limited access delays job completion. Other obstacles, like fencing and outdoor playsets can also affect pricing.

Number two

Type of demolition

Partial demolition is meant for non-building purposes and is cheaper than a complete demolition since it takes less time and less material is hauled away.
Number three

Pool design

The price will vary according to the size and design of the swimming pool. Custom shapes, built-ins, and other additional structures might increase costs. Pool accessories need to be removed before the job starts.

How to Use the Pool Demolition Cost Estimator

Before using the cost calculator below, you’ll need to know the estimated square feet of your pool surface. You can measure it manually or do it from your device using Google Earth. If you already know the square feet of your pool, skip to the calculator in the outside section, closing this modal.
  • Go to Google Earth.
  • Click the Search Icon in the left menu and search for your home address.
  • Click the ruler icon in the left menu, and drop anchor points around the general perimeter of your pool area. If trees obscure your view, use your best judgment, based on your knowledge of your home.
  • On the right side, view the square feet of your existing pool area. (Note: The tiny arrow next to the measured size drops down to change the type of measurement if not already showing square feet.)
  • Round the measurement to the nearest 10, then add 5% to the total when using the pool cost estimator outside this modal. This is to account for waste. For example, the picture below shows 577 square feet, so I will round it up to 580 before adding 29 (5%) to account for the waste, the flared edges, etc. The correct number of square feet needed in the cost estimator is 610 sq ft.
